With the opening of Aspen Meadow Elementary this coming fall, it is time to welcome students and their families to their new elementary school by providing opportunities to meet the teachers and other employees at their new school. Families who reside in one of the areas reassigned to a different school will soon receive more information from the school principal.
In February 2020, the Board of School Trustees approved the updated attendance areas which included Aspen Meadow. The four-month process incorporated the participation, feedback and recommendations of seven teams of parents, students, board members and administrators from across the district. Feedback was also gathered from online communication, written comments and during several public meetings. The updated attendance areas accommodate enrollment growth and the opening of a new elementary school.
The map shows the updated attendance areas for elementary schools and a list of current subdivisions. The map may not offer details for every home, especially those on borders and not within a subdivision. Please consult the Transportation Center for specific location verification questions.
As an additional reminder, middle school attendance areas are unchanged for the upcoming school year. Please contact the building principal with any questions.

On May 11, 2020, the NACS School Board approved an attendance area adjustment:
Because Aspen Meadow will not be ready to open in the fall of 2020 and because Huntertown, Eel River, Perry Hill, Oak View, and Cedar Canyon elementary schools are at or over capacity, elementary school-aged students residing in the recently opened Copper Creek subdivision developments will be assigned to Hickory Center Elementary School until Aspen Meadow Elementary School is opened, which is anticipated to occur in fall 2021.
Since class sizes and enrollment are greater at Carroll Middle School, middle school-aged students residing in the recently-opened Copper Creek subdivision developments will be assigned to Maple Creek Middle School until updated middle school attendance areas are implemented, which will not occur until at least fall 2022.
The boundaries for Northwest Allen County Schools are comprised of three townships including Eel, Lake and Perry Townships. The map here serves as the Carroll High School boundary since there is only one high school in the district.
