At Northwest Allen County Schools, we strive to create opportunities for fully inclusive, blended preschool classrooms where all students can learn and grow together.

The Details

  • This program runs…

    • 4 days per week (Monday – Thursday)
    • 10 months per year (August – May)
    • Half-Day in the morning (7:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.)
    • Half-Day in the afternoon (11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.)
  • Your child must be…

    • 4-years-old by August 1st
    • Atending the year prior to Kindergarten

     

    Exception – Students with a qualifying IEP may enroll starting at age 3.

  • Tuition for Preschool is…

    • $300 per month
    • Self pay
    • Billed monthly

     

    Exception – Students with a qualifying IEP remain tuition free.

  • We have two locations for all NACS families at…

 

Our curriculum includes purposeful play and research-based strategies that equips all students

with the foundational skills they need - academically, physically and socially - to succeed.

The Classroom Structure

The FAQ

  • Unfortunately, no. The child must live within the NACS district boundaries.

  • No, but it is strongly encouraged. Parents will be responsible for bringing all necessary supplies.

  • All of our schools, including our Preschool, use a platform called ParentSquare to share important information with families. In addition, your child’s teacher will communicate through regular notes, emails, phone calls, and/or newsletters.

  • In the event of a delay or closure, you will receive a message through ParentSquare to let you know the status of school.

    For Delays…

    • AM Preschool will start two hours later and run from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
    • PM Preschool will start one hour later and run from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. 

    For Synchronous Learning Days…

    • Preschool will be offered virtually. Devices are offered to all students.
  • A typical day would include…

    • Circle time
    • Structured table activities
    • Small group/individual lessons
    • Free play
    • Specials (Music, Art, PE, and Library on a rotating schedule)
    • Snack time

  • Yes! We participate in field trips and enrichment activities throughout the school year.

  • Yes! Our Preschool will follow the NACS school calendar, starting in the first full week.

  • No. It is the parent’s responsibility to provide transportation. Daycare busses are permitted.

     

    Exception – SPED bussing is available through NACS.

  • Students with a qualifying disability and IEP can enroll in AM or PM Half-Day Preschool as determined by their case conference committee.

     

    Additionally, these students can...

    • Enroll starting at age 3.
    • Remain tuition free.
    • Have access to SPED bussing through NACS.
